Nueva estacion de radio Latino en Vancouver
Mas Latino, una estación de radio Latino nueva en Vancouver. La emisora empieza a transmitir a principios de Octubre de 2010 y se puede escuchar en la banda 101.9 FM.
Mas Latino es conducido por Nancy Portillo, ella tiene mas de tres años de experiencia en Radio. Nancy trabajó en Seattle en la 100.7 the Wolf, y en Dallas Texas por Univison - La kalle 107.9. Ella tambien trabajó en la emisora 101.3 the River en Prince George.
Cuando la estación salga al aire, se podrá escuchar música como Salsa, Rock, Top 40, Pop, Bachata, Merengue y artistas locales. Hace dos años se tranmitía por la 88.9 cfur, en Prince George.
Nancy Portillo, locutora y fundadora de esta nuevo programa radial, se graduó en el colegio BCIT en el area de Broadcasting.
La estacion cubrirá los areas de Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey, y otros areas. Tambien se podrá escuchar en el internet CITR.

I’m not sure the “could not be much further from the truth” is accurate…after all, um, the major race of Central and South America is “Hispanic” and also speak Spanish. Unfortunately,this is so true! Volunteering as a young person sets a whole new dynamic in later years and we miss that if we don’t foster that in our youth. There has to be a shift in our cultural mindset of giving and helping and reaching out, whether it’s to others in our culture, or not. I wouldn't limit this to Latinos.I would suasme media influences are the #1 influence that pushes any minority race to want to pursue someone that is caucasian. I myself am 1/2 Japanese and my preference are white males, but it doesn't mean that EVERYONE wants a white guy. It's just that we see white society to be the ideal in almost anything in the media. Advertisements, TV, magazines, etc. All feature a white person first, and then if they're feeling a lil diverse, they'll throw in a black guy or something. We all do it and we tend to do it unconsciously too.This ends up affecting us when it comes to choosing who we want to be in a relationship with. Thats why you see a lot of mixed race couples that are white plus something else. Not often will you see black plus asian, or asian plus east indian.Point to ponder
